[size=14]Hi,

My name is Sarah and I have two daughters Carrie 13, and Caitlyn 12. We just completed our firs year of home-schooling through Christian Liberty Academy. We are new to Albuquerque, and are interested in 1. networking with other home-schooling families, 2. having lunch dates, 3. finding a church and 4. I am looking for a tutor for my oldest daughter in English.

I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Welcome to the group!

I don't have kids the same ages as your daughters, but just wanted to say welcome. We also attend the westside park day that Tina mentioned. Attending park day is a great way to meet and socialize with homeschoolers. We are a friendly group!

I also wanted to invite you to visit our church, Sagebrush Community Church. We love it! They truly have alot to offer children and youth. You can find details about service times at their website: http://www.sagebrushcommunity.com

Tina and Cindy,

Thank you so much for your warm responses! I had a chance to look at the http://www.sagebrushcommunity.com  It is really awesome and right up my families alley. We are looking for a church that invests in it's youth, has a contemporary service, and Saturday services. I cannot wait to go Saturday. I hope to meet you both at park day tomorrow.

Thank you again, have a great day!

Nope... Park day is at Santa Fe Village Park in Taylor Ranch which is off Unser.  Also, welcome to ABQ!  We've been here about 4 months and love it.  Hope to see you tomorrow,

LeAnne

Ahhhh, the one with the library!

Sorscha and I have been trying to make it for about a month now but with camps and then today she's going fishing - soooo, well, we obviously haven't made it.  I was at the ABQ unschooler park day yesterday and several of us were wondering the ages of kiddos that typically attend.  One Mom said that it was quite a large group of families.  Sorscha is 10 1/2 but still seriously into actual play.  Anyone with kiddos (girls or boys) that are around her age that LOVE to imagination play still?  Ohhh, and are there trees at that park?  Thanks in advance.

Sorchasmom,

Hi I just got back the park and I met a wonderful group of ladies and their children! Wow ! I was really surprised by the turn out. There are alot of mom's with young children toddler and preschool age. There were a few that were 10-13.

You should definately try to come out to the next park day. I know that we all have busy schedules but I am also going to be sure and pencil the park days in on my calendar.

TTYL,

Sarah
