Hello home schoolers interested in ice skating,

The ice skating classes have been a wonderful success!  It has been thrilling to watch the teachers work with the students.  It's amazing to see kids who were clinging to the walls at the first class develop amazing confidence in just a few short weeks.  There are two classes going simultaneously.  One is for kids who feel fairly comfortable on the ice and the other is for the early beginners.  Some mothers sit on the bleachers next to the ice and watch their skaters close up.  Many mothers especially those with toddlers and babies watch from the second floor where it's a bit warmer.  They chat while the toddlers run around and enjoy themselves.

Ice skating will definitely continue for more sessions.  We will keep the sessions going for four weeks each.  The price of the class again will be $52 with skate rental being and additional $1.00 per week for a total of $56.  Classes are held every Monday from 11:00 until 12:00.  Each lesson consists of half an hour of instruction and half an hour of open ice.  Missed classes can be made up at any of the regular evening and weekend classes.

The doors open at 10:30.  Your skater needs to be dressed warmly and on the ice by 11:00 so come early.

The next session starts Monday September 15th.  You can sign up as late as the first day of class.
