This coming Saturday, October 18 from 4:30-7:30pm the Albuquerque Opportunity Center, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Homelessness Project, will be hosting their annual benefit fundraiser for the AOC shelter. Tickets are $20 and include Powdrells BBQ, music by the Ditch Dawgs, former resident speakers and facility tours. Each $20 ticket provides 4 hot meals for a resident in respite care. This is an excellent way to educate and become educated about homelessness in Albuquerque. For more information or to purchase tickets contact the Albuquerque Opportunity Center at 344-2323.
