We just moved to Albuquerque last spring and I have recently found out that I am pregnant with #4!   I am looking for recommendations of OB/GYNS and midwives.  Also, are there any birth center in Albuquerque? If there are, how many and where are they? Thanks!

I would reccomend Krsiten Ostrem midwife. I haven't used her personally but I work on a mother/baby unit and she's very personable and attentive.

If you're looking for a freestanding birth center with all the medical bells and whistles, no not yet. But, depending on when you're due, there's one planned for 2009:

If you are looking for a home away from your own home to birth with homebirth midwives, there are options.

I'm not sure if there are babies being born at the Wellesley Center, but you can google Natural Birth and Connie Kashewa.

Congrats! And another great resource in town (if I do say so myself, run by two homeschoolin' mamas) is http://www.inspiredabq.com
