With the FDA warning parents not to use over-the-counter cold and cough medicine for children under 10, what’s a parent to do when children inevitably get sick?  Luckily, the plant world provides us with many effective cough and cold remedies that can help our little ones get relief from their symptoms and recover more quickly.  Midwife and herbalist, Mary Lou Singleton, will present natural remedies safe for babies, children, and pregnant mothers.

Bring your Toddlers & Preschoolers for some interactive fun as we explore the world through music, movement and massage! We will play instruments, learn some dances from around the world, explore basic yoga moves through storytelling and finish it off with some nice relaxing massage. Every third Wednesday!

1:30-3:30pm Nourishing Our Children with Traditional Foods - Join us for this dynamic presentation that explains why many traditional foods now considered unhealthy are, in fact, vital to the growth and intellectual development of our children. If the low-fat message never set right with you, come learn more! If you wonder why suddenly no one can/should drink cow’s milk, come learn more! If soy doesn’t seem like a wonder food to you, come learn more! This presentation will benefit those with children, but also those preparing to conceive or those with their own nutritional concerns.
