I have a quick question about homeschool graduation.  Right now my son will be receiving a SC transcript from our support body together with a transcript from the technical college where he took some of his senior year classes.

He has been accepted to New Mexico State and I was told that he needs to take his GED to qualify for financial aid?  He has taken both the SAT and ACT.

How do you graduate your teens in New Mexico - who issues the transcript that is recognised by the State?
There is a chance that he might finish this last semester in NM and I am wondering what my options might be.
Thanks
Carol

As far as I know, only accredited schools in NM can issue a transcript which is recognized by the state.  Homeschool parents can write their child's transcript and as long as the SAT/ACT scores are in sinc with the transcript, it's all good.  However, this is not "officail" recognition as far as getting the lottery scholarship. Colleges have policies for admitting homeschoolers, ask about that.  Also mention that he has college credits because he might be eligible for a different kind of admission based on how many credits he has earned.  Many homeschoolers in NM opt for the GED because studetns who are NM residents and have graduated from a NM highschool or taken the GED here, qualify for the lottery scholarship which pays for almost all of a student's tuition after the second semester.
