New Mexico has a brand new support program for anyone in the state of NEW MEXICO who has adoped a child or children.  It doesn't matter if it was International or US, State or Private.  This is a free support network for you and your family.

New Mexico FIESTA
(Family Activities, Information, Education, Support Groups & Training for Adoptive Families)

http://www.nmfiesa.blogspot.com

Adopting children is extremely rewarding and much needed.  It also can be a unique challenge.  One that not everyone understands.

Many times children who are adopted have needs and challenges before them and their new families that are difficult to know how to best handle and cope with.

New Mexico and La Familia, have received a 4 year grant for:
  a lending library
trainings with some of the best experts around
  Support Groups
  Family Activities
  Help with Respite
Warm Lines (Numbers to call and talk with people who have experience living with challenging situations)
  etc...

If you or someone you know has adoped a child (or children) and would like this connection,
  - Check out the website posted above
  - Call me and we'll get you connected (235-7261)
