You can walk up to a kiosk and browse.
If you find something you want, rent it using a credit card.

Easier yet (to me, anyway), from their website you can search for a movie, find out what kiosks near you currently have the movie, and (if you like) reserve the movie, using your credit card. Take THAT SAME credit card to the kiosk, swipe it, and your movie is dispensed.

Either way, your credit card will be charged $1 and you will have until the next evening to return the movie, but you can keep it for as long as you like for $1/day. (NO late fees.) The movie can be returned at ANY Redbox kiosk!
