We are a military family living in Rio Rancho and are in our 2nd year of homeschooling.  I have a daughter in 4th grade, a son in 1st, another daughter in pre-K and an almost 2 year old son.  Just wanted to introduce myself and my family and to see if there are any other similar homeschool families in our area that would like to get together for fun or joint field-tips, etc.  Also, would love to know about homeschool groups for science, art or specific topics that we could attend.  Thanks so much.

There is a very strong Catholic homeschool group in Rio Rancho.

Hi there. We're over in Rio Rancho too. We live near the High School. I have a 12 year old girl who is going to the Rio Rancho Cyber Academy and a 10 year old girl that i'm homeschooling as well. There are some pretty good homeschool science classes at Explora. We aren't doing them this year because I just had a baby but we'll probably do it again next year. It's great because it's hands on. There are a great number of homeschooing groups in the Albuquerque area, so one thing you aren't is alone!  

I'd like to invite you and your kids to our weekly All Homeschoolers Park Day.  We meet at 10am every Thursday at Loma Del Norte Park, which is West of Wyoming and North of San Antonio.  Starting October 1, we will be meeting every Thursday at 1pm, also at Loma Del Norte Park.
