We may be transferring from the Dallas area to ABQ. Dallas (Frisco and Plano, TX to be more specific) has a very large and active homeschool community. What can we expect in ABQ? Also, does anyone know of a homeschool-only Cub Scout Pack or Boy Scout Troop in northeast ABQ? We are currently members of a Pack and Troop that are chartered by a local Christian homeschool organization.

I can't say first-hand about cub scouts or boy scouts, but I can tell you that ABQ has a large and diverse homeschool community for a city our size, and I bet you'll find what you are looking for! Maybe you can contact CAPE-NM and inquire there about the scout troops: http://www.cape-nm.org/pages/capenm/supportGroups/index.php Or someone in the group In Him Home Schoolers might know as well: http://www.inhimhome.org/

I lived in Plano for a couple of years, but my kiddo was just a baby, so I can't compare homeschooling there to here. But Alexis is absolutely right. There is a lot of diversity here and Albuquerque is a homeschooling hotspot! Very supportive and lots to do.
