Hi all,

It's that time of year again.  We have ten slots open for tennis lessons.  This season, tennis lessons will be held on Tuesdays with the younger ages from 12-1 and the older ages from 1-2.  The instructor is committing to 6 weeks which makes the cost $18.00.  She may extend the season after the initial 6 weeks, but will do so on a week by week basis.  Lessons start March 16, at the Jerry Cline Tennis Center, with payment in full due on the first class.  The class roster is on a first come/first serve basis so please email me as soon as possible with the name and age of your student(s).  Thanks all.

Hi. This works for Ben. What is younger...? And, what is needed? Do I need special shoes, a racket, etc? And...could you tell me where to go? I have NEVER had a tennis lesson or had any of my kids interested. Ben is 7, almost 8. (If you like, he will even provide you with the month/day detail!   )

Hi Brandie,

It depends of what kind of 4 year old Teddy is.  I think we've had older 5 year olds before with no problem.  If he's the mature type it might work out.  I will leave that to your judgement.  Keep in mind that the class for the younger kids may have students up to 9 or 10 years old.  FWIW

Hi Kim,

This is about as easy a class as it gets.  The tennis center provides rackets and balls.  Ben would need appropriate shoes but that's about it.  The class is at Jerry Cline tennis center at Louisiana and Constitution and the instructor is great.  Ben is the perfect age for the younger class (12-1) so no worries there.  I know my son is looking forward to meeting some new friends.  Let me know if there is any other questions I can answer and I hope to see you at class.

Hi. Sounds great. What are appropriate shoes? White soles? I am very not in the know.

Any kind of athletic-type shoe is good.  Most soles these days are non-marking and the courts are outdoors so it's all good.  HTH,

Thank you for the info LeAnne! I think that while Teddy is a mature 4 year old, I will probably wait for next year, I think he will be a ready in another year.
Thank you again!
