sustainable gardening COIR is a green alternative to peat moss (which is no longer considered a sustainable resource)

Peat moss is harvested in Canadian bogs and we are running out of it . . . they need time to restore the "population."
In the meantime, US Master Gardeners are imploring our friends to turn to COIR, which is an EXCELLENT alternative w/the same benefits.

I only know of one place in Albuquerque where it can be purchased; but, you can but it online many places.
The ABQ store that carries it is:

Cost = 250g brick - $1.99
          650g brick - $4.99
            5kg brick - $14.99

(They feature many free workshops & seminars)
