Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots Four Corners Program is welcoming applications for our 2010 Youth Leadership Retreat. The retreat will be held once again at the beautiful Wind River Ranch in Watrous, New Mexico from Friday, June 18 through Sunday, June 20, 2010.

Applications are open to high school aged youth (14-18 years of age) who reside in the Four Corners Region (Utah, Colorado, Arizona or New Mexico). Youth do not need to be a member of the Roots & Shoots program to be considered.

These potential youth leaders will join Roots & Shoots staff and members of the Four Corners Youth Leadership Council to learn about Dr. Jane Goodall, the Roots & Shoots program, service learning and how to take their own passions and turn them into community based service projects that benefit the environment, animals and other people. Participants will also have the opportunity to apply for the Roots & Shoots Four Corners Youth Leadership Council as part of the Roots & Shoots Youth Leadership Initiative.

The Retreat is offered at no charge to applicants who are accepted. Participants will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the retreat. Please contact the Roots & Shoots Four Corners staff if you are interested in carpooling.
