Hello I'm new to homeschooling. I have a 12 year old son recently diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. I decided against medication & took a different approach. Motivated education I call it. My question is,where I can optain school materials? We're on a minimal budget & are low income. I'm very excited to find a support group, I admit I was a little nervous about doing it alone. Thank you!♥

Title Wave used book store has a bunch of used textbooks that aren't super expensive... Hope this helps.

Learning Is Fun, on Menaul near San Mateo is good, especially for workbooks, but it seems their prices have gone up a bit.  Also, Barnes & Noble in Coronado mall has them for reasonable prices.

I find out about stuff through my HS friends, then I find it on-line and end up buying a lot of stuff through Amazon (good prices, often free shipping).  I borrow lots from the library too.

You can also find free games and printable stuff on various web sites, just search for "math worksheets" or "math games" etc.

Title Wave is good too, especially if you want text books.

The library in Rio Rancho off Loma Colorado has a whole section dedicated to homeschooling.  Also, math.com is great, we use it for review and use workbooks from Barns and Noble.  Net flix has documentaries and science thems for visual learners.  http://www.e-learningforkids.org/ is another website we use. http://www.gcflearnfree.org, and there are many more.  Just search on the web you'll find tons of free programs/worksheets.  Best of luck.
