This material is all free and there is a wide variety!!! The only thing is it is located in Las Vegas,nm about 2 hours north of Abq,NM. They also ask that children stay in the lobby because of the amount of material it can be dangerous. There is volunteers available to help carry out materials.

UWC-USA and The Literacy Council are pleased to again offer free science, math, art, and literacy materials to local educators, homeschoolers, afterschool providers, faith groups and interested families.

Most of the materials are for elementary grades but some are also at the high-school level. A description of the available materials is below.

Materials may be picked up between 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2010, from the U7 building at the corner of University and 7th Streets. Please bring pickup trucks or large vehicles if you plan to take several boxes. We will have volunteers available to help carry items to your vehicle. Yellow box: Teacher Manipulative Kit K-6 (SRA Real Math): kit contains measurement tools (scale, balance, large clock, weight set, etc.) for classroom use, set of transparent objects (geoboard, fraction tiles, large calculator, etc.) for use with overhead projector, and transparencies. in large plastic bin.
