The Workboxes are working!!!

I was so excited to find this system.
Workboxes are all the rage this year thanks to Sue Patrick and her amazing ideas.
We currently have 6 sets of workboxes in use, 5 for the boys and 1 for me.
It has really helped us stay more organized.
So many of our problems have been solved and everyone knows exactly what they're doing each day.
The boys are definitely getting more work accomplished and I can easily see where they are in their studies as they move through each lesson.

We're using the scaled down version.
I don't use the schedule strips and some of the boys don't always work through them in order.

We began with the shoe racks from Target and Dollar Tree containers.
Here they are set up in our Dining Room.

After a while I upgraded to the 10 Drawer Mobile Carts available on Amazon.
The shoe racks were just a bit too narrow for the containers and some of our books didn't lay flat.
I ordered them through Amazon.com when they were on sale. I really like these much better.
They take up less room and most of our books fit neatly in the drawers.
When we transitioned over to the carts I decided not to use the numbers on the drawers.

These are the boys' Workboxes.

I spend probably 1/4 of my life laminating workbox activities!!!
I own a xyron and used that in the beginning, but the refills are very expensive.
For the past year I've been using a Scotch Thermal Laminator and I LOVE it!!!   It works great and it is a very inexpensive laminator.
You can usually find them in Wal-Mart or order online from Amazon.

Here's a link to see what's in the box for my high schooler:  What's in the Box (9th grade)
