I decided I really like History Odyssey.
Mainly because it uses a variety of sources, not just one perspective,
and it is easy for me to detour down a lane I want to cover more fully, or add into the program something I feel is missing.
Also it is a classical approach, and moves through history chronologically, so you learn about what is happening simultaneously around the world, not just one civilization in a bubble.
