The following is a letter from Pat Masters, who is offering bricks4kids classes, where "children learn engineering and architecture concepts building with LEGO bricks."  Details, and contact information are below....

Sincerely,
ERC Staff

I am Pat Masters, a New Mexico Certified Teacher.  I recently purchased a franchise called bricks4kidz.  Children learn engineering and architecture concepts building with LEGO bricks.  They explore themes like Space, Laws of Motion, Inventions, Famous Buildings, Amazing Animals, Transportaion, and Construction.  A typical after school class begins with an introductory lesson, followed by building the project, usually in teams of two, then creative free play.  The students also build a mini-figure on the first day which they can take home.  The classes integrate with school curriculum.

This is a great social and learning opportunity for home-school children.  Both Libby and Kirin, the owner, said I could rent out space for classes at Title Wave Books.  Please check out bricks4kidz.com for more information about the company.  If you have questions, or would like an information folder describing the franchise, please call me at 505-433-2330.

Sincerely,

Pat Masters

Dear Home School families:

I am Pat Masters of Bricks 4 Kidz.  I am also a New Mexico Certified Teacher.  Everyone should have received an email from Kristi of the Educational Resource Center.  This talked about Bricks 4 Kidz.  To learn more you can check out the website bricks4kidz.com.  I have already received positive responses from parents about this program.

Again, I think this is a great learning and social opportunity for not just home school students, but all children.  Children learn, build, and have fun with LEGO bricks.  Some possible themes include:  Inventions, Laws of Motion, Space, Natural Disasters, Amazing Animals, Transportation, Construction, Famous Buildings, and Gadgets and Gizmos.

Also, I am scheduling a summer camp at Title Wave Books.  This will be a one-week camp,  from 1-4 P.M. the week of June 20-24.  The camp theme is --Amusement Park Mania.  The camp will include project building, challenge games, creative free play and more.  Students will receive a Bricks 4 Kidz t-shirt and a mini-figure they build on the first day.  Parents will be welcome to view a slide show of the camp on the last day.  Cost is competitively priced at $150 plus tax per student.  Siblings discounted $25.

Thank you very much for reading this letter.  You may sign up for classes and the camp at http://www.bricks4kidz.com  Check locations on top then find Albuquerque. If you have any questions please email me at pmasters@bricks4kidz.com, or call 505-433-2330.

Sincerely,

Pat Masters
