Comfort in Wilderness for Children ----> registration required

June 7th – 10th, 9am to 12 noon

Cost: $25 a day; limit 15 student per day
This training is designed to allow students to develop a sense of confidence in wild places.  
Plants, insects and animals have many stories to tell.  
Simply knowing these entities are present in each and every landscape or cityscape can bring one to an understanding of the important roles they play in the web of life.  
Not fearing these things will bestow a sense of peace to ones life for a lifetime.

An Afternoon of "Blues at the Blueseum"
June 12th

ABQ's Best to Play Blues on the Balloon Museum Lawn-Pack a Picnic and Enjoy the Views!

ALBUQUERQUE NM-Albuquerque's spectacular Balloon Museum is turning into the "Blueseum" on Sunday, June 12th from 1 - 6 p.m. when a great lineup of Albuquerque's best blues bands bring soulful sounds to the great outdoors.
This great afternoon blues festival is sponsored by the weekly Alibi.  

Bluseum posterRelax on the Balloon Museum's expansive lawn with its incredible view of the Sandia Mountains
and listen to a great afternoon of blues performed by talented local artists.

Bring chairs and blankets and settle in for an afternoon of great music.
Pack a picnic, or enjoy tasty treats from the local vendors offering delicious food and beverages for purchase.

Tickets for the event are just $10 per person, and children under 5 get in free.

Bats comprise one quarter of the world's total number of mammal species.
There are many misconceptions that portray bats as scary and fearsome creatures.
But bats play an important ecological role by helping with seed dispersal, pest control and pollination.
Without bats, the world as we know it would be very different.
In this entertaining presentation, we will separate fact from fiction and share tips to help you be a good bat neighbor.
