Hi!  My family and I are very new to homeschooling.  We have a 4 year old daughter, Emily, and a 2 year old son, Nathan.  We are very excited but still a little nervous.  I'm convinced this is the road for our family but have no idea really where to start.  I am really looking forward to meeting other families to travel along this road with.  We plan to start attending the park days once they start happening in the mornings.  My son still naps in the afternoons so we cannot make those times.  Again, hope to see you all very soon.  Katina

Hi, Katina!  This has been my first year homeschooling.  I have 2 girls and 2 boys.  My oldest daughter is 8 1/2 and in 3rd grade.  My oldest son is 5 1/2 and has moved into 1st grade.  My other daughter is 2 1/2 and already wants to do "school."  It already seems easier with her because this is all she knows.  She sees her siblings learning and wants to learn too.  I actually ordered her some pre-K books to start on.  I think it's great to start now with homeschooling as part of your life.  Your kiddos will grow up with learning as their way of life.  I don't get to make to park days either because my youngest, 1yr old, is napping at that time also.  Maybe we can meet when it's in the mornings.

Hello Katina,
My girls and i went to the park day today, the first time in months (also due to nap time conflicts), and we felt warmly welcomed.  It is a very nice group of families, with a vast amount of knowledge and experience in homeschooling.  I have a feeling it will be a good connection for you and your sweet little ones.
Hope to see you soon,
Deborahlise

Hello Katina,
My name is Angela. I have been homeschooling my almost 12 year old son for two years, but feels like his whole life. I also have a three year old son. We would love to meet you at park day or someother time to play or do learning activities.
