The co-op is considering opening a location in the East Mountains and we

When:   June 8, 2011, 6:30 PM

Where: 12216 N Highway 14 at Tom & Jerry Plaza

Just south of the Cedar Crest Post Office between mile marker 3 and 4 north
of I-40

(Formerly the Sandia Crust Pizza Location)



La Montanita Co-op  will host a community meeting in the Tijeras/Cedar Crest
area to assess support for a Co-op on the east side of the Sandia Mountains.
Both current Co-op members and non-members are invited to participate.  

La Montanita Co-op is a consumer cooperative owned by nearly 17,000 New
Mexico households, with three locations in Albuquerque, one in Santa Fe and
one in Gallup. The Co-op specializes in fresh organic produce, bulk foods,
local grass fed beef, lamb and other meats and  local cow and goat dairy and
cheeses, fair trade products and a wide variety of natural and organic
groceries, freshly prepared deli foods, natural body care, vitamins and
supplements.   With over 1500 local products from approximately 900 local
producers and 20% of total purchases and sales in local food the Co-op is a
leader in the local foods movement and represents  a community based
economic model.

Everyone, from all East Mountain communities, is invited to join us for
light refreshments and the East Mountain Coop Community Meeting on June 8th
at 6:30PM at  12216 N Highway 14 at Tom & Jerry Plaza, between 3-4 miles
north of the I-40 exit at Tijeras/Cedar Crest.
