Just a reminder . . . if your coop or other group is preparing to study Medieval history this fall, Medieval Living is available to come to your location. We will give lessons, demonstrations, and activities for any size group. Also, if you are looking for fun activities, the folks at El Rancho de las Golondrinas will be holding their annual Santa Fe Renaissance Faire - September 17 and 18. I will be there, along with my "yurt", down in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) village. I was there last year, and must say that it was a very enjoyable event for all who came! They also hold many other activities there, so if you have never been to Las Golondrinas, I highly encourage you to visit the museum there. I will be at the park on the east side of Albuquerque this Thursday. I will have some materials there for a few activities . . . how to make chainmail, weave on an inkle loom, spin and dye your own wool yarn, and elementary weaving. FYI - I will be homeschooling my two grandsons this year . . . so not only am I involved in teaching, but I also am a homeschool grandparent. You can reach me at scott@medieval-living.com or call me at 505-321-8328. The website for the ren faire is http://www.sfrenfair.org/All of our services are provided free of charge. While we would appreciate donations, they are not required and no group should ever feel obligated to donate.
