Does anyone know of any all day , one day a week home school activities, classes, or volunteer opportunities for a 13 year old homeschooler?

Try Galloping Grace Youth Ranch. I don't know if it is an all day affair for volunteers or not, but it is pretty neat. They are in RR. Natural History Museum takes teen volunteers as well. Not sure of timing.

Watermelon Ranch rescue takes volunteers, even very young (unusual for shelters).  http://www.wmranch.org/waystohelp.htm .

Have you looked into the Education department at the Botanical gardens? They always have young docents stationed throughout that amazing place! Good luck!

The museum of natural history has used youth docents- I've seen them a bunch in the room with the snakes and salamanders, etc.
