Hello Everybody!
My name is Bret Thompson.  I am the father of Katie, 4, Claire, 2, and Reese, 2 months.  My wife and I have been living in Rio Rancho for about 8 years now.  We are just starting to preschool Katie.  I am currently part-time, while my wife has just gone back to work full time.  I know it's unusual, but I am in charge of my children's education.  We have done much research, investigating, and prayer about beginning this journy.  For starting, we are members of a co-op, The Our World Albuquerque Homeschool Co-op.  We meet three times a week to study.  For Katie, I am using an ecclectic program using materails from The Mailbox, Alex, Nickalodian, Carson-Dellosa etc.  We are doing ok, and perhaps it sounds like i've got it together, but I am just as frightened as any other beginning homeschool parent.  I know that this is a process and there is a lot of trial and error involved.  I would say that I am very excited about all of the opportunities and resources that are available for homeschoolers.  In joining this forum, I am looking for some experienced wisdom as a resource.  We were at the park on Sept. 8th.  I was with my son, but my girls were at gymnastics.  Thank you for reading my intro and have a great day!
