Hello all!!
I'm Kristen and I homeschool my two sons (3, 8 ) and my daughter (5). We currently live in San Diego, but will be moving to Tijeras at the end of Dec. I was born and raised in Tijeras/Albuquerque and am really looking forward to coming home with my family. That said, I was not homeschooled as a child and have been gone for some time... so just wondering about the HS school scene in the east mountains....Really I don't mind driving "into town" for activities and park days, but it is always nice to have a group a little closer. Are there any groups, classes etc in the east mountains?? Thanks in advance! looking forward to talking with you!

I actually live in the North Valley, not in Tijeras, but i wanted to welcome you back to NM and wish you a pleasant move.  I have a 3 and a 5 year old and Albuquerque has proven to be a very home-school friendly environment.  Through this coop i have been able to find playmates for my kids and meet some amazing home school families, so i encourage you to join after you get settled in.

I live In Cedar Crest-moved here about two years ago. There a lots of homeschoolers here
There is a catholic copp here in E. mountains. I do not belong. But you can take advantage of some of the classes through that group. I do go into twon 2 days a week for in town stuff

I have two girls, 7yo and 10 yo. There are three other homescholling families in my tiny neighborhood

Hello, I live in Tijeras!  YEa!  I have 4 kiddos.  ABQ and surrounding areas is so rich in homeschool communities.  I think you will find what works w/ your family.
