Our homeschool Kung Fu/ Self Defense starts tomorrow.  Everyone is welcome and you can come at any time to try a free class and/or observe.  If you can't make it tomorrow, feel free to drop in any Tues or Thur at 1 pm.  If you start late, the fee will be prorated.  We have 10 students now but we would love to have more!  Here is the info:

Our Kung Fu/Self Defense Class is continuing this Fall Semester and it is a great time to join in.  There will be several new students as well as the kids that have been participating for a year so  beginners are welcome!  There are boys and girls enrolled.  This class emphasizes self defense and the kids that were in the class last year developed a real understanding of how to handle themselves in dangerous situations and increased their self esteem.  There is also a belt advancement component and a general fitness portion.  They also play some related games.

We meet on Tues and Thursdays at 1pm
Kung Fu San Soo
2100 Juan Tabo NE ~ near corner of Juan Tabo and Menaul
T& Th 1:00pm
ages 5 and up  (Currently students range from 5-16)
Uniform included

Check out the website:  http://www.sansooabq.com/Home_Page.php

We begin classes Sept 4th
We would run through the end of the week of Dec 13th.  And we can take the week of Nov 19 off for Thanksgiving Break.  So that would be a total of 3 1/2 months ~ Sept, Oct, Nov, 1/2Dec.  The cost is $60/ month so the total would be $210/ semester.  New students receive a free uniform.

This class does involve contact and the students practice on each other.  Safety is stressed but you and your child need to understand that there is a physical element.
I encourage anyone that is interested to come to a class.  You can observe or if you would like, your child can try it out for free the first time.  Make sure they wear appropriate clothing.
