Quoted TextDo you like basketball? Ever been to an NBA game? Well here is a chance to go to a NBA Development League game with players who some day hope to play in the NBA. The Albuquerque Thunderbirds team is the development team for the 76ers and the Suns. So you might see some of these players on TV one day soon!
This is something that I have been working on for some time, since last summer in fact, and I finally got the details ironed out! Please come, bring your friends and family to a night at the Albuquerque Thunderbirds Basketball Team. Ticket prices are $8 each, the same for everyone, children 2 and under are free.
The first 75 kids who pay will get a tour of the facilities!!
I have attached the flyer, to print it out set your printer to 0 margins. The registration form along with payment information are on Pg 2 of the flyer. PAYMENTS WILL ONLY GO THROUGH ME (TABITHA ORR) DO NOT CALL THE TICKET OFFICE!
PLEASE, PLEASE Print these out, spread them around to other homeschooling families! Bring friends, relatives, people interested in homeschooling. This is going to be a lot of fun and we all get to sit together in great seats near the action!

Just for FYI I am not getting a commission or anything out of this, our family has to pay like everyone else, this is really and truly for everyone in the homeschooling community, ALL homeschoolers are welcome, and I hope to see us filling all the seats in our section! What a treasure it would be to see a huge group of us there!

CELEBRATE THE CHINESE NEW YEAR IN ALBUQUERQUE
Come celebrate the Chinese New Year in Albuquerque with traditional Oriental festivities at the Chinese Culture Center. The revelry includes The Dance of the Dragon with a 60-foot dragon operated by ten people, colorful ribbon and flag dances, Lion Dances, demonstrations of Tai Chi Chuan, Kung Fu fighting forms, exciting drumming and more. This 2008 celebration ushers in the Year of the Rat (the year 4706 on the Chinese calendar).
This coming year the Lunar New Year falls on Thursday February 7th, 2008, and we will be ushering in the Year of the Rat (or Mouse) with a celebration on Saturday Feburary 9th, 2008 at 1:00pm at the Chinese Culture Center.

The St. Olaf Orchestra (of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota) is a fabulous ensemble, one of the best college orchestras in the nation, and their performances are always a treat. This concert features dance motifs, including Johann Strauss' Overture to "Die Fledermaus," Ravel's "La Valse," and excerpts from Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet."
