"The Children's Committee of PCL wants to meet you and find out how we can help with your homeschool journey. We are planning a "Meet & Greet" for you on Wednesday, September 19 from 1-3 PM at the library. What kind of programs and books would help you with your curriculum? Come tell us! While you are meeting with our committee your children can attend an Interactive Art Program Inventions in Art with Jean Kolod, formerly a docent at the Detroit Institute of Art. She uses a teaching technique called Visual Thinking Strategy to help children interpret works of art. After exploring some pieces of art the children will also create their own "invention in art" using mixed media. It is a great program! Please join us."
I know this says Sandoval County, but all are welcome. You could even get a library card at the PCL and utilize some of what they have to offer for homeschoolers. They are looking for ideas and are very open to hearing from the homeschool community.
We've been to a couple of Jean's art programs and they have been great! Hopefully you can come out for this event and meet other homeschool families. And take part in an awesome art program, too.
