Albuquerque Homeschool Forum / Introductions / New in town! I need some direction!

Hi there I'm Debra, and we just moved here from Little Rock and have been homeschooling since kindergarten. The adjustment has been hard, but we are making it with God's help. I am having a hard time finding like minded homeschoolers, and was wondering if anyone could give me some direction on a good homeschool group to get involved with, as well as a good church. In terms of a church, good teaching is important to us. In terms of a homeschool group, I can best describe us as TRYING to apply James 1:27 "... to keep oneself unstained by the world". We live near Paseo and Wyoming on the NE side, but I'm willing to travel to get into a good group. Any ideas or suggestions anyone? Thank you SO MUCH!

Hi Debra. Welcome to Albuquerque! There are lots of homeschoolers here in New Mexico, so I'm sure you'll find a good fit soon. I might point out that, while this group has many Christian members, it is not specifically a Christian group, and it sounds like that may be what you're looking for. I don't know much about the Christian homeschooling groups. Maybe someone else reading this message can offer some advice.
