I joined the group not too long ago with my two children Alex and Brandon. Unfortunately, ( way too long of a story to get in to) a judge has ruled that my child be enrolled back into 1st grade in a public school on the west side and evaluated for special needs. (Special needs? Yeah, right! ::)) ANYWAY, with him being in public school this means that we will no longer be able to be a member of this group as we cannot attend any of the special events with you. I am very very very sad that I will not be able to homeschool any longer. Alex really enjoyed getting to know everyone and we loved being a part of such a wonderful group. It was great getting to know all of you and thanks for making our homeschool experience a great one!! We love all of you!

I'm not sure that we ever met, but I wanted to take the time to write to you, (understand I don't know the whole story here) and tell you that there is an organization called HSLDA, which is a group of lawyers whom work to protect our rights to homeschool. NO JUDGE has the right to order that you put your child back in public school, special needs or not. For a fee of $100.00 a year, HSLDA will help you with your case, and assign you a lawyer here in NM.

I've been round and round with lawyers and judges and ex's who think they know better then we what is in the best interest of our children. We've won every time and our on our 11th year of homeschooling. If this is a battle you wish to pursue, I can get you the phone number, or their web address. You may also contact me personally at fullhousewithsix@aol.com if you wish.

Good luck!!!
