Hi,

My name is Cheryl Gabbert, and I'm a special needs homeschool
consultant.  I'm trying to reach more families, and would really
appreciate your help.   I have experience as a certified special
education teacher , health care provider, as well as homeschooling mom.
I am also listed with the HSLDA.

Some of the things I do for clients include:

*Provide assistance in getting started in homeschooling

*Help families comply with state regulations

*Development of a curriculum that is individualized for each child,
taking existing needs into consideration

*Ongoing curriculum/instructional support

*Development of  an individualized education plan (IEP), and formally
written periodic evaluation reports. A portfolio may be completed at the
end of each year. (Some states accept portfolios as an alternative
assessment)

*Research: find new therapies and adaptive equipment

*Speak with school districts and personnel on a client's behalf

*Coordinate public or private services

All clients receive unlimited email and phone consultations, so I'll
always be there to help.  All philosophies of home education are
welcomed.  I am not affiliated with any school district or other agency,
and all clients will receive 100% confidentiality.

Please forward or post this for any families you know of who homeschool
a child with special needs, or are considering the homeschool option.
Here is my web site.  Let me know if you would like some brochures.

Thank you so much for your time.  I'm hoping we can work together to assist
families who have chosen to home educate.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Gabbert
