Hi all, my family is moving to Albuquerque within the next couple of months and I wanted to introduce myself and find out about homeschooling networking.  We currently are from Virginia and I've been homeschooling my daughter who is 11 for a year now.  My daughter has some developmental delays and I finally pulled her out of public school as she was not fitting into the "public school" mold.  She was getting no benefit from all the hours she was putting in and I thought it was time to find another avenue to let her learn at her own speed.  I'm looking forward to meeting you guys at the various outings.  This sounds like a great group!!

Always glad for another homeschooler!! Welcome aboard. When you get to town you can come to one of our events or to park day and we can all be formally introduced.

Hi Melyn  :D  Great to meet you . . . wishing you guys a smooth transition & move!

There's a lot of fun things to do & see here in NM.   Just yesterday, a bunch of us met-up in Santa Fe (for example) and went to the Museum of Art to see an awesome Egyptian Excavation exhibit complete with a free docent tour and then had plenty of time before dark to walk the plaza . . . rich with culture and tourism to get you started.

There are lots of really nice, down-to-earth homeschoolers here.
And the state is really homeschooling-friendly.  :D

Hope you'll join us for a park day sometime!   Carissa
