On the first Saturday of each month, Home Depot offers the same sort of workshop between 9 a.m. and noon.  (It only lasts that long if there's enough interest.)

These are free programs and great for both genders.  Free aprons and eye protection are usually included and available for take-home.  Certificates are personalized and offered at the end for successful completion of the project.  Lowe's gives a patch and a sticker.  Home Depot gives a pin for clothing.  These are fun to collect and/or scrapbook.  Take your camera . . . it's a hoot!   Take advantage of it!    :D

On the second Saturday of each month, Lowe's hosts a building workshop for children, free of charge.  I believe it starts at 10 a.m. and lasts one-hour.

Annie is coming to New Mexico!

The timeless tale of Little Orphan Annie is back, giving a whole new generation the chance to experience this classic musical about never giving up hope. Boasting one of Broadway’s most memorable scores, including “It’s a Hard-Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” “N.Y.C.” and the ever-optimistic “Tomorrow,” Annie is a delightful theatrical experience for the entire family. Don’t miss this all-new production that Variety calls “a winner!”

oh how cool that you were there too!  you might have seen the three of us. Both my daughter and I had bright pink hoodies on :)  We didn't get too wet, though.  I loved the relaxed, friendly atmosphere.  We went inside the temple after the ceremony with the monks and had a look at the shrine. It was a really fun, interesting day.  And man, the food was great! My husband and I looooooove Thai food!
