Hello, My son and daughter are both really like Pokemon and they participate in a league.  I have toyed with the idea of starting a homeschool leaugue that would meet on a weekday around 1:30 ish on Tuesdays in the NE heights at a library or book store for about an hour.  It would start as just an unofficial group, and then we could apply to become a registered league which would mean that the kids would earn "pop packs" and badges (pins).  At this point, I am exploring the idea.  The group would meet weekly, beginning in mid April.  Kids would not have to come every week, and parents would need to stay somewhere in the building.  Does this sound like a good idea to anyone, and is there something like this already going on?  The league he is in is fine, but I would rather do this during the school day instead of on Saturdays and weeknights.  Please post or email me if this sounds interesting.

Pokemon Update:
I am in the process of setting everything up for the kids to meet.  I am working with the library, and I have an application in to start an officail league.  The library may offer this as an "official" activity.  This would be good because we will have a permanant spot on the calender and will not have to apply evry  six months.  The kids will most likely meet the second week of April.  I submitted an application to the library, and it will take some time to go through.  I will let everyone know as soon as I do, but it looks like the second Tuesday in April will be the first time we will meet.

My 9yr old daughter would LOVE this.  Which library? I'm new in town and don't know names of the areas yet...

We will meet this coming Tuesday, April 8th at the Cherry Hills Library in the community room.  She will need damage counters and her own cards.  I look forward to meeting you!
