Hello Everyone!
My name is Stephanie Bauer, I was homeschooled throughout about half of my schooling - and now it is my turn to do the schooling! My daughter, Hanna, is now at what is considered the "proper" age to be going to school. My husband (Scott) and I have decided that we really appreciate and love the Waldorf concept, as well as some more traditional ideas at the same time. We are both learning that even homeschooling a 5 year old can be a bit of a challenge. She sees some of her friends starting public school and is not quite understanding the concept that she is schooling too just in a different way. She is the type of child that excels with interaction with others.

I am looking forward to getting involved with some groups throughout town, and showing her that there are many outlets to learn (as well as to meet new friends). I am finding I may also need the interaction (and support)!! I have a very traditional mother-in-law, and I have not quite found my own strength to show that I am more than capable and willing to help develop my child's abilities and knowledge. I would love to meet parents that know the benefits of homeschooling, and could help give me support and ideas for the coming years.

Yep. Homeschooling is a family thing. You're welcome to bring everyone, and we have lots of toddlers at the park. :)
