Albuquerque Homeschool Forum  /  Homeschool chat  /  Taostmasters...Gavel Clubs?

We've visited the Gavel Club that meets at Erna Fergusson Library.  Ben had a great time and everyone was so nice, but I heard there were other clubs that might be closer/more convenient to where we live.  Anyone have any info on a Corrales Gavel Club or ones on the West side?  There doesn't seem to be a database for Gavel Clubs online, only for Toastmasters.
Thanks!
Cheryl

Albuquerque Gavel Club is an official group of Toastmaster's International.

Join us for a FUN way to learn public speaking skills!!  For grades 1-12, this group has plenty of teens and tweens and lots of laughs. They practice public speaking, hold office (President, VP, etc) and basically run the meetings themselves!  New Toastmasters are provided a "buddy" (a more experienced Toastmaster) to help show them the ropes, plus they receive a workbook to help them plan out their topics.  Free to come visit, and only $5 per year if you want to join!

We meet at the Erna Fergusson Library on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month! As a parent, I can vouch for this group's effectiveness: Mine went from crying if she had to get up in front of a group to giving science presentations to judges and teaching classes too, and she's made a lot of friends and fond memories along the way.  Come see what fun we're having!  3pm-4:30 Tuesday!  Questions:  489.2880
