My daughter attends a Karate Class at Montano and Taylor Ranch Road.  The owner is considering offering daytime classes for homeschoolers if there is enough interest.  His name is David Erler and he is a really good instructor. He offers 10 weeks of classes for $100 for 2 days each week.  He currently only offers classes after 4 p.m.  He can offer one free class so the parents and children and check out how he works.  Please respond if you are interested in these classes and what days or times would work for you.
He is also considering having a Parent's Night Out once a month from 6-10 p.m. on a Saturday Night.  He'd have games, dinner, and a movie for the kids to watch so we parents can have a "night out". Please let me know if you are interested.

It's a part of the International Okinawan Karate Kubodo Association.  Dave is really good with children, stern, but patient.  I see 4 and 5 year olds and up to adults in his beginner class.  His belts begin with white then go to yellow, orange, red, blue, purple, green, brown and then finally black belt.  What's great about this is that he offers six stages of advancement for each belt so the children always have a sense of accomplishment.  He encourages family groups to join so they can practice at home together.
His father has been teaching for many years and has another Dojo south of Central on Louisiana.
He also does weapons training and offers a number of supplies for other schools.
