The Santa Fe Opera
announces
AUDITIONS
for the
2009-2010
Young Voices Program

•     Open to High School students (Grades 9-12) who desire to study the art of singing.  Students who are interested and want to sing but have not had lessons are encouraged to apply.

•     Instruction by Santa Fe Opera Artists and Music Staff will alternate weekly with individual voice lessons and musical coachings.  Attention to diction and language issues will also be included.

•     Lessons will be offered in Albuquerque and in Santa Fe.

•     Master Classes with noted singers and teachers are planned.

•     Tickets to local cultural events will also be included.

•     Program culminates with a public recital in May 2010 for all students enrolled.

Please prepare a song of your choice that you would enjoy singing for the audition.
            You may sing with piano (accompanist provided) or alone, whichever you prefer.
