Railroad Garden Volunteer Training

Railroad Garden Volunteers operate and maintain the G-scale model train at the Botanic Garden and answer the public’s questions about the various trains in operation.  Children and adults love this miniature railroad and Railroad Garden Volunteers help to enhance their experience.

•  March 3: Mixing Colors. Use watercolors to learn how to mix colors! Paint a rainbow!
•  March 10: Keep It In Perspective. Learn to draw in 3D, using vanishing points for basic perspective.
•  March 17: Going Green. Celebrate art and St. Patrick’s Day with collages of all things green!
•  March 24: Master Your Art. Learn about famous art, and make your own versions of it!
•  March 31: Free Draw. Use what you’ve learned to make your own picture—we’ll hang it up in the children’s area for April!

Rose Experts (Rosarians) from the Albuquerque Rose Society will demonstrate pruning equipment, proper pruning techniques and rose care.
They will be available to answer any and all questions about the growing and care of beautiful roses.
Rose growing supplies and equipment will be offered for sale at attractive prices.
All proceeds from the sales go to support the Albuquerque Rose Garden.

We will have some new items for sale this year: Mills Magic rosefood and insulated work gloves.
As always, we will haveYellowstone pruning gloves and leather work gloves,loppers, rakes and saws.
Plan to join us for a fun and informative time.
