My name is Lara Moore
I teach private voice lessons and am the director for the Westside Homeschool Choir.
I am a trained lyric soprano and have been teaching private voice for the past 4 years.
In voice lessons students learn a variety of vocal techniques including... breathing, raising the soft pallette(like a yawn) vowel modification, painiting a song, and delivering a song so that it engages the audience using their best voice. I currently sing professional opera with Opera Unlimited and have been in numerous musicals. I teach all styles of music including contemporary, broadway, classical ect...
The first lesson is always free just to try it out.
After that it's $65.00 a month. I will do exchanges sometimes for voice lessons so do not let the cost deter you just call or e-mial me.
In choir students will learn some of these vocal techniqes as well as learning how to blend their voice in a group and follow a piece of music and of course performing. The choir meets at Rio Vista church of the Nazarene on Golf Course Rd. Mondays from 12:30-1 for k-2nd grade and 1-2pm for 3rd- highschool.
The cost is $30.00 a month and 10.00 for siblings. A 20.00 rejistration fee covers the use of the church and pays for our accompanist(pianist).
If you are a voice student of mine choir is free.
Thank you and I'm sure you'll find voice lessons and/or choir to be extremely rewarding!

Hello, My name is Lara Moore and I have been teaching private voice lessons for 7 years.
I began as a jazz band soloist. In college I traveled and sang with a group called Heaven Bound and I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Christian School education with an emphasis in Voice.
I then went on to sing with Loveland Opera Theater and then sang professional opera for two years.
I am called upon to sing for local functions, retreats, and churches in the area.
My students begin by learning to use their breath correctly. The breath is the power behind the voice.
They then learn how to raise their soft palette in order to focus the pitch.
I show them how to expand their range in a safe and effective way.
I teach them how to focus the tone for a gorgeous, full sound. Finally,
I show my students how to use dynamics, poetic stress, and effective staging in order to create a powerful performance.
My students have auditioned for Universities and received vocal scholarships and have been cast in major Musicals in the area.
They have also auditioned and gotten into All State Choir.
My students come once a week to my home studio for a half hour lesson. The cost is $17.50.
I would be willing to do group lessons of 3-4 for $14.00 and five or more students in a group would be $12.00.
Please call me at (505)792-8558 or feel free to e-mail me at apollos_crew@netzero.net
The first lesson is free!
I look forward to hearing from you very soon.
Thank you,
Lara Moore

Hello,
My name is Lara Moore and I have been teaching private voice lessons for the past 7 years. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian School Education with an emphasis in voice. I began as a jazz band soloist and quickly moved onto singing broadway and classical. I sang and traveled with a group in college called “Heaven Bound.” From there I went onto sing with Greeley Community Theater and opera with Loveland Opera Theater for two seasons and then sang professional opera for two years.
Students come to my home every week for a half hour to learn excellent vocal technique, including, raising the soft palette in the back of the throat to focus the pitch, breathing correctly, using dynamics and poetic stress in music, all of this combined with thoughtful analysis about stage presence and how to best engage your audience creates a dynamic and unforgettable performance. My students have gone onto to audition for local musicals and receive roles, as well as voice performance scholarships for major Universities including UNC and UNM.
Thank you again!
I know that you will find voice lessons to be a highly rewarding experience.
Students come once a week for a lesson and that is $17.50 which ends up being $70.00 a month most months.
If you have two children, or two people it’s 13.00 a lesson
A group lesson of 5 or more children is $12.00 per person for a half an hour.
