Hi!
My name is Jessica and my three-year-old son and I will be starting our pre-school home school adventure this summer.  My eight-year-old stepdaughter will be joining us...she attends a Montessori school during the school year, but is very excited to "do" school with us this summer.  My sixteen- month-old daughter will also be along for the ride.  If anyone out there has tips on planning for such a wide range of ages, please do pass 'em on to me.  Or if you have children close to the same ages and would like to join forces for idea-swapping or outings, I would be thrilled.

I am currently a stay-at-home mom, and was a sixth and eighth grade Language Arts teacher with APS in my former life.

Looking forward to getting to know some folks in the home school community!
Jessica

Hi Jessica,

Besides having lessons/activities that are her own, you might also have your 8 year old help you in teaching the younger ones.  Often great learning comes from helping teach something.

We'd love to meet you at a co-op park day - there are usually a wide range of ages present!

Thanks for the suggestion!  We will be at the next Park Day for sure.

Hi Jessica!

I have a four-year-old and an 18 month old (both girls), and we just started our home school adventure a few months ago.  I'd love to get together for some outings, the zoo or nature center or a hike... we're up for anything around or near town!
