Wednesday, October 6 ------- Sunday, October 10
Did you know that the average teacher spends $1200 out of pocket on supplemental materials for their classroom?
Educator Appreciation Week is our way to celebrate the important role our educators play in our communities and
reward them for their hard work and dedication to future generations.
During EAW educators (including retired educators and specialty educators not eligible for the year-round Classroom Discount program)
will receive a 25% off the list price of most items in the store for classroom and personal use.
New for fall 2010 EAW Extra benefits for Educators just for being a Borders Rewards Member!
Borders Rewards Plus membership gives an additional 10% off: Educators who are also Borders Rewards Plus members will receive their BR+ discount on top of the EAW event discount for a savings of 32.5% on most items - by far the best EAW savings to date! Educators who upgrade to (or sign up for) a Borders Rewards Plus membership during the EAW event can take advantage of their additional savings right away.
Educators automatically receive Gold benefits: Educators that are eligible for the Classroom Discount Program and are Borders Rewards members receive $5 in Borders Bucks for every $100 spent and get a Personal Shopping Day.
Educators can receive Borders Bucks donations: Our Borders Bucks Classroom Donation Program begins October 1 - just in time for EAW! Borders Rewards or Borders Rewards Plus members can donate their earned Borders Bucks to their favorite teacher (teachers must be Borders Rewards or Borders Rewards Plus members and register online to receive Borders Bucks donations). To kick off this ongoing Borders Bucks donation program, Borders will match the donations made to individual teachers during the month of October.
Tell your friends, coworkers & associates: If you can please reach out to 5 of your co-workers and associates to spread the news of the event, it would be greatly appreciated! Our educator event reception will be held on Saturday, October 11th from 2pm - 4pm. Join us for food, drinks and door prizes!!!
