Hi all,

I'm starting to homeschool my 8th-grade son—again! We homeschooled for one semester last year, and we've realized that right now, it's really the only option that works for him and us. Anyway, last time we didn't get involved with anything, really, just focused on deschooling, but this time we're ready to jump in! What's going on as far as clubs, park days, outings, etc., for middle-schoolers?

There are several middle school aged kids at our Park Days on Thursdays.  Come on down next week and join the fun!

Greetings! I homeschool my 8th grader and would also like some middle school companions, but we live in the East Mountains, so the meetings on the west side and north side are not compatible with our schedule.  Any other mid schoolers  in the east?

Hi Tracy,

Oh, great! We'll try to get to the park either this Thursday or next. I'm glad to hear there are other middle-schoolers there. I was wondering. I saw that someone posted something about a homeschool Toastmasters club, and we may try to do that, too. My son, Chase, is into physics, sports, art, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, endlessly.

I'm jumping into this late.  I have a middle school son too.  Alsways looking for other kids his age to hang out with.  What park days are there for middle school kids?  Where are these at?
