Hello,
My husband is Active Duty AF and we just moved to ABQ.  My son was going to public school but was miserable because of all of the bulling and cursing that the kids were doing.  We pulled him out of his school and decided to HS him.  I have never done this before, and I am lost, so any help or advise is greatly appreciated.  I am also looking for play groups and such to help him meet other kids.

Cheers!
Theresa

Theresa - I would strongly encourage you to join the Albuquerque Homeschool support group.  You will find a wealth of information, support and friendship that will help you and your son have a wonderful time learning together.
Homeschooling is not as difficult as your initial impression may feel.  Your real feeling of being "lost" is still just the unknown.  It will all come together and there are many who have gone before you that can help you get your bearings.  Come meet us at the park - you will find the help and support you need!

There is also a group on base.  One of the members that is also a part of this group may chime in here. If not, message me and I'll get you in touch with her.  My dad was active duty AF for almost 30 years. We were never stationed at KAFB, though. Welcome to the Land  of Enchantment.  Do come to our park day, though.  We're a nice bunch, if I do say so!
