The Rio Grande Nature Center State Park is seeking new volunteers!

Free Volunteer Orientation

10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

and become acquainted with your fellow volunteers at the RGNCSP New Volunteer Training 2011!


Discover the many ways you can support the Nature Center:

·                     Administrative Assistant

·                      Outreach Educator

·                     Receptionist

·                     Gardener

·                     Nature Shop Salesperson

·                      On-site Naturalist

·                     Special Events Assistant

·                     Trail Patrol Assistant

Volunteer Training is $10 plus the cost of membership.

New volunteers will complete 24 hours of training over six consecutive Saturdays
Beginning January 29 and continuing through March 5, 2011
9:00 am to 1:00 pm




Friends of the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park memberships are $30

($15 for teachers, students, seniors and persons with a disability)

The required reading, A Field Guide to the Plants & Animals of the Middle Rio Grande Bosque, $21.95, can be purchased at the Friends of the RGNC Nature Shop  (members receive a 10% discount)
