Meet at Canyon Estates Trailhead  (map) Mark your calendars for a chance to usher in Easter morning and celebrate the risen Christ while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors! This year, we are planning a short (roughly 2-mile) Easter sunrise hike out to Travertine Falls on the morning of April 24 at 6:00am.

Those who wish to join us should meet at the Canyon Estates Trailhead at 6:00am. To get to the trailhead from Albuquerque, drive east on I-40, and take the Tijeras exit. At the intersection, turn left onto and go through the construction and under the overpass, as though you were going onto I-40W. Rather than turning left to get on the freeway, take a right and follow the road past the "Dead End" sign into the Canyon Estates subdivision. Follow the road to a forest service parking lot (free) and a trailhead.

For those who would like to join us for breakfast following the hike, all are invited to meet at the Los Vecinos Community Center in Tijeras at 8:30am and join in a potluck Easter breakfast with the East Mountain United Church congregation.
