Junior Zookeepers Summer Day Camp
2011 Session Dates: June 13th through June 17th and June 27th through July 1st
Junior Zookeepers Day Camp is an exciting program that offers children ages 8-12 the opportunity to experience what our animal keepers do on a day to day basis. Learn basic biology, interact with animals, make toys for them, and have fun behind the scenes with zookeepers at Wildlife West!
Spend a week learning about New Mexico’s native plants and animals this summer. Learn about the care and basic biology of native plants and animals with the experienced zookeepers at the 122 acre Wildlife West Nature Park. This five day, 9:00am to 12:00pm, day camp program covers everything from zoo-keeping and bird-watching techniques, to animal enrichment projects. Snacks are included. Sign up soon, spaces are limited!

The cost is $60 per week and a snack is provided. Camp is held from 9 a.m. until noon, and we normally schedule two sessions each summer. Call (505) 281-7655 for information.

Living Desert Zoo Camp
Children have fun while they learn! Zoo Camp features music, crafts, special activities, guest speakers and more.
The first week of Zoo Camp is for 7-9 year olds. This year's theme is Native Americans in the Chihuahuan Desert.
Pre-registration is required and begins June 15. Fees are $40 per child and $30 for Friends' children.

Clear Mind Camp (AGES 8-13)
Children learn to increase awareness of themselves, each other and the natural world in 28 acres of the eastern Sandia Mountains.
Activities such as games, art and music are all part of the camp experience.
