Hi there! My husband and I are homeschooling our 8 yr old son, David, and next year, will start homeschooling our 4 yr old daughter, Sophia. She is very social and so I'm going to try and find something through the co-op that might work for her. David is social too, but tends to gravitate towards doing creative things, like music and art.

Does anyone have suggestions that might work for a 4 yr old and an 8 yr old?
Thanks.

Nanette,

It would be helpful to know what specifically you're asking about.  I would encourage you to bring your children to park day and let them enjoy the company of the other children - there is no lack of socializing or creativity!

Good to see you again here, Nannette.  Look into the Great Artists group under the Activities forum.

Karen's mother often teaches a music class that I hear is good, and I think would teach both of your kids, age wise???  Not sure if you know her, but she is regularly at the park.

Definitely a good idea to hit the park on Thursdays, as there are many kids of both your kiddos age there!  Not to mention the tremendous resource the parents bring.

Thanks for the replies! Once the kids are done with homeschool co-op on Thursdays, we will start coming to the park more probably starting late April or early May. I need to check out all the forums too and see what's out there. When Sophia is 5, maybe we'll do Girl Scouts.
