The University of New Mexico’s (UNM) Interdisciplinary Film & Digital Media Program (IFDM) will offer summer camps that allow local students to experience Hollywood firsthand. UNM faculty and industry professionals will teach students ages 14-18 a variety of highly sought-after technical skills used in the latest film and digital media productions. There will be four camps offered the weeks of June 27 (Film), July 11 (3D Modeling), and July 25 (3D Animation). Full Day Camp: 8-9:30am open lab time, 9:30-4 Learning & Activities Modules, 4-5:30 open lab time (parents can drop off/pick up students any time during open lab time)
Location: Mesa del Sol-Aperture Center

Camps will take place at UNM's state-of-the-art Mesa del Sol facility, located on University Blvd. just south of the Albuquerque International Sunport. The camps will bring together the finest in instruction, technology, and facilities to immerse students in a university level learning environment. Price is $500-including lunch and snacks daily-all equipment is provided. Instructors are industry professionals-the 3D Animation Instructor works for Boeing, the 3D Animation instructor is currently working on The Green Lantern, and our film instructor has produced Super Bowl commercials and segments for ESPN sports. We are only accepting the first 25 applicants into each camp so space is limited.
