Hi everyone!  We just started hs this year, my daughter is 13, and having a little trouble transitioning.  We want to get more involved with the hsing community, are there any groups this age who get together to study?  We are using the Calvert curriculum, is anyone else?  We are also looking for a tutor to help us as well.  Any info would be appreciated!

Hi. I used Calvert for about a year and a half and then started just doing my own, buying texts, etc. I have a 9 yr old. I also tutor, both in APS schools and privately. Currently tutoring reading, math and language arts. My husband does as well.

I have been using Saxon math, as it is a great transition overall and very logical. Are you ever at the park day?

I Jazzyabq. I've been using Calvert for the past three years for my 8 years old daughter. We like it a lot. Unfortunately, we don't ever seem to make it to park day. I used to be a teacher and tutored math from 1-12 grades as well.... You posted this awhile, so maybe you have already found help.
